Advice on product usage and correct dilution |
The cleaning industry
is undergoing radical change, designed to improve standards and,
critically, to improve the working conditions of all personnel.
At Clean Solutions we believe we offer our
customers the most up to-date and safest range of products on the
market. In partnership with Selden Research, we provide BICS
training, carried out at Seldens on site
BICS centre, which is among the finest in the UK.
Clean Solutions are aware of our duty to the environment. The
products which impact on this area are
historically:

Chemicals
We source all of our
own brand chemicals from Selden Research. Seldens Environmental
Profile conforms to the Detergents Directive. The initial
legislation dates back to the 1970's, however,
revised legislation was passed in 2004,for implementation in 2005.This new
legislation ensured that the definition of true
biodegradability became significantly more
stringent. The new controls also include the requirement for correct labelling.
Another aspect of Chemical usage concerns waste material from
the production process. All of our own label
chemicals are manufactured in an environment, where 100% of the
waste produced, is converted to harmless carbon dioxide and
water.
In our industry Selden are the first and only manufacturer in the UK,
in our industry with this standard.
2
Paper
Our main source of
paper supply comes from SCA Hygiene who are the largest paper
manufacturer in Europe, with a strong clearly defined
environmental policy. SCA owns 2,300,000 hectares
of Sweden's forests and one of the worlds 100 most
sustainable companies, Every effort is made to
maintain a natural Forrest environment, for every tree felled three more are
planted in it's place
3
Polythene
Oil pricing is a key
factor in the production of polythene based products.
Due to recent and on going price levels polythene is becoming an
increasingly expensive commodity With the
introduction of co-extrusion and more sophisticated polymers,
established products such as low density polyethylene (LDPE)
are now being replaced with higher strength films. Recycled is
an alternative, although as the recycled element of the product is not
quantified it may result in the film offering a
vast difference in strength and performance. CSL
now offer a range of high impact films in both two and three layer co- extrusion
resulting in the use of fewer raw materials in
manufacturing a product that will suit your existing requirements.

Machinery
Clean Solutions supply
a comprehensive range of new machinery and equipment. To
supplement this area of sales we have introduced a machine repair
& hire service The idea behind this is to recycle
as many machines as possible, back to the industry.
If our customer has existing equipment, our first priority is to extend
its working life, reducing the amount of waste product for
disposal.
